Instructor
I am a Grade 6 registered Approved Driving Instructor. This is the highest grade awarded at regular proficiency tests carried out by the DSA, allowing us to continue to teach. As of April 2011, only 6.13% of driving instructors were classed as a Grade 6.
My first time pass rate is 75%.
The Right Instructor
Just like you as a client, each driving instructor will have his or her own habits and personality traits – it may gel with yours, or not. They will also have a varying ability to adjust to your personal learning style.
If at any time you feel uncomfortable with your instructor, or even unsafe, do discuss it with them. If you feel that you are not getting value for money, discuss it. After all, you are paying for a service, expect to see results.
If at any time you start to query your instructors suitability for yourself, you may want to invest a few single lessons with another instructor, just to get a comparison. Learning to drive is a lonely occupation – it’s hard to judge your own or your instructor’s ability if you have nothing to compare it against.
Go out there – find the best fit for yourself! Never be afraid of airing your views, needs and opinions! Never be afraid of changing instructors. Being miserable or scared during your driving lessons will limit your ability to learn, and you will be wasting your money.
Cruise Control is the right school for you!
I am based in Seaford and cover a radius of about 6 miles around Seaford. A high first time pass rate proves that my approach to driver tuition is truly successful, and the application of analytical skills learned will keep you driving safely.
Experienced in coaching all levels of drivers, I strongly believe that my integrity as a driver coach depends on the consistency of my approach. I am flexible, honest and fair with a quirky sense of humour, always seeking the positives as well as learning opportunities in each situation.
I listen to ensure your learning process is a team effort. I support your private tuition (so I will take on your driving supervisor, too!) and guide you through your theory test. I am patient and believe in everyone’s ability to learn a new skill. Above all, I like to have fun whilst teaching, so I will make it fun for you, too!
